Description

What is it?
This Board emulates all 4 paddle games on the old TV game "pong" chip - the AY-3-8500. It uses an Atmel AVR processor - the ATmega328 and outputs the composite video signal and sound through two RCA connectors.

Who made it?
The software design was made by Grant, His excellent work carried out was to convert the routines of the AY-3500 to work in the Atmega AVR processor. Full credit goes to Grant for his dedication and for sharing his project as Open Source.

If you would like a full description of the software routines you can find the full write up at his website here!-Grant Web Page

Why did you make it?
I always wanted to create pong style retro games without a massive amount of logic chips and other circuitry. The AVR processor solves this by coding...
