AVR Gated GPS Locked Frequency Counter/Standard

What is it? The Gated GPS Locked Frequency Counter / Frequency Standard is a standalone unit that uses the 1PPS signal from a GPS module to calibrate its internal frequency and lock to it. It can then operate in two modes: Frequency Counter Mode measure external frequencies with GPS-calibrated accuracy Frequency Standard Mode provide a precise reference frequency An Si5351 module generates the reference frequency standard, while the GPS lock ensures exceptional long-term accuracy. Why did I make it? My old frequency counter was always a few Hz off. This project solves that problem using a dual 16-bit counter configured as a single 32-bit counter. The frequency to be measured is converted to a square wave, fed to the counter chip, and represented as a 32-bit binary number. An ATmega328 reads this value and converts it to the displayed measured frequency. Key Hardware Features: Input transistor amplifier on board Frequency standard output GPS connection via side SMA connector 20x4 LCD...

Crystal Tester / Frequency Meter 1Hz-50Mhz (100Mhz )

Acknowledgement : Credits to Wolfgang Buescher, DL4YHF for designing this project.(based on a work by James Hutchby, MadLab, 1996) What is it? The frequency counter kit can be used to measure frequencies from 1hz to 50mhz and also check quartz crystals. The Frequency counter has a onboard button which can access a menu to zero the scale, add or deduct an offset in case it will be used in a shortwave receiver. The pcb is well labelled and makes it very easy to assemble it. Features : frequency range 1 Hz ... 50 MHz five digits resolution (display for example x.xxxx kHz, x.xxxx MHz, or xx.xxx MHz) automatic range switching with different gate times optional addition or subtraction of a frequency offset (programmable) optional preamplifier for the input signal very low component count: a PIC 16F628, 5 7-segment LED displays, a 20-MHz crystal and a few resistors optional (configurable) power-saving mode which automatically turns the display off if the frequency didn't change significant...

G3UUR Crystal Test Oscillator

Sorting surplus crystals for a homebrew SSB filter? A nanoVNA alone won't give you the 1 Hz precision you need. This compact PCB implements the classic G3UUR crystal test oscillator. Used with a good frequency counter, it measures series resonance and motional parameters (Lm, Cm, Cp, Q) of individual crystals letting you match batches to within 50 Hz. Design ladder, Cohn, or QER filters using real data, not guesses. PCB only; components not included.

USB Power Bank Keep Alive

USB Keep Alive Stop Powerbanks from Turning Off Available in USB-A models, the USB Keep Alive is the ready-to-use version of our popular through-hole kit. It s designed for those who want a reliable, pre-assembled solution without any soldering. How It Works The device sends a periodic 100mA power pulse. When used alongside another low-power device, this small draw is typically sufficient to prevent a powerbank from entering standby mode and shutting down. Key Benefits Compact & Ready: No assembly required just plug and play. Common Applications Charging hearing aids and earbuds Time-lapse photography Any situation where a powerbank auto-shuts off Important Considerations Compatibility: Works with standard 5V devices only. It is not compatible with Power Delivery (PD) or Quick Charge (QC) adapters, which may cause damage. Dual-Device Requirement: The Keep Alive cannot function alone; it must be used with another device drawing a small amount of power.
